History
Because of my experience in public transport (since 1982) I've encounterd a few problems that didn't have a solution yet. One of those problems is as follows: In bad weather (fog, rain, dark) it is almost impossible to see passengers waiting at a busstop. To solve this problem I've designed a flashing light that is easy to mount on an existing busstop. After lots of tests and prototyping, this "busstop" has proven the most efficient.

:  | The device has to be clearly visible for the busdriver. |

:  | The device has to be self explanatory. No further instructions are needed. |

Although it was not easy to respond to all the above points in a single design, We have managed to create a successful working model at an affordable rate. The first prototype of the "busstop" was mounted in 2002 and the number of passengers that where left at a busstop in the dark period is reduced to zero in those places. Since then, several thousand busstops where in the Netherlands and responses are positive everywhere! look here for references
